I'm in need of some technical support anybody know why my 1990 CRX SI would be filling the cylinders with gas when I try to start it. It was acting up at the last event (not starting) and now when we try to start it...it fills the cylinders with gas, and locks up the motor. ECU, main relay ???? Anyone know a great Honda mechanic?

Thanks,

Scott Deane

Try Dale Wooderson or Tim Herron. Dale can be reached at Forward Thrust, phone number is listed in this forum on the index page near the bottom of the divisions. Tim works at Lee's Summit Honda in the service department.

Sounds like the injectors are leaking down, after the engine is turned off. Or , a really crappy spray pattern of the injectors.

How's the battery? I had a similar issue on my car, and it turned out that the voltage was just low enough to freak out the cold-start circuitry in the ECU and cause it to hold the injectors open for waay too long. Put in a fresh bettery and wipe off the plugs, and it was good as new (imagine my chagrin when the shop told me that, ohbytheway that'll be 200 dollars!)
